I now have to add that the microwave tip works in the near-field region and use evanescent waves. I don’t fully understand the mechanism of radiation. The conical microwave tip is fed by a microwave signal depicted in the picture of my previous post. I have to simulate the electromagnetic radiation of the tip and the interaction between the EM field and the silicon wafer.
