It could be that your machine is tryong to use the Intel Graphics Card
Use of integrated Intel graphics cards is not recommended. These cards are typically found in lightweight
laptops or notebooks, and are known to have OpenGL incompatibilities resulting in display issues in AIM
and other graphic demanding ANSYS Products (SpaceClaim, Workbench). Examples are Intel HD 3000
and 4000 series cards.
The easiest way to enforce NVIDIA is to select it as the preferred graphics processor for any application.
This is done by configuring the custom setting under NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings.
One can also do what limit the deployment of this high performant card if you want to do it specifically for
certain application by selecting the program which needs to be customized.
