I have performed a similar operation on a dummy model. I am able to see the impact of the expansion of inner geometry to the outer geometry.
I would suggest verifying the following points
1. Contact status- If the pinball radius is more than the geometric gap or not, if not then increase the pinball radius. right click in the connection –>Contact tool–> generate the contact information.
2. If the applied pressure is enough to expand the inner geometry for making contact with the outer geometry in the true scale.
3. Plot the separate deformation for the outer geometry and inner geometry to see the deformation in both parts.
4. keep large deformation ON in the analysis setting.
