As Erik correctly mentioned, using 1/2 symmetry and the application of the boundary conditions will help you get the required convergence result. Also, you can follow the attached video, which will help you understand better.
Apart from this, I am suggesting some points that might be helpful to simulate this problem. Please change some contact settings and let me know if it worked or not.
1. Make the contact behaviors Symmteric and apply the trim contact “off”.
2. Turn off the ” small sliding”
3. Select the Add offset, and Ramped effect in the interface treatment.
