The error in your original post means that the license file was made for a different HOSTID
In the license file, you will see a server line that includes the Server name and HOSTID.
The license file is encrypted for that server and hostid specifically.
The client machine will point to the server to check out the license from the server over the network.
The client machine must be able the license server over the network.
The installation issue looks like the person installing does not have a login for the customer portal or that communication to the customer protal is being blocked.
