Hi Win,
If it were an OS incompatibility, wouldn't the installation of the license manager lead to error? CentOS 5 was still being updated when LM 17 came out so I would think it should be compatible with LM 17. The only change to our server from last year is that it has been moved to a new data center and has a new external IP address. I was told that the data center firewall is allowing communication to ports 2325 and 1055. Would the external IP play any role here? Does the license file have to be changed? The Hostid is the same as before.
If we were to use a new Windows machine as our license server instead (to bypass the current problem), could we still use our linux cluster to run fluent in parallel using our HPC licenses or does that introduce new issues?
Thank you for your help.
