You can first right click on the Physics task and select "Duplicate" option.
This will create a copy of the existing Physics task and will have all the definitions retained (like material properties, boundary conditions, etc.). Now you can go to Settings -> Calculation type and change the type as required.
If you check the Material assignment option inside the newly copied physics task, it will show a copy of the material assignment but it will have the same material properties as defined in the original material assignment.
