It would definitely help if you could use an 8GB VRAM.
I would recommend you to go through this post for a better understanding of thin geometry features in Discovery Live.
If you are using Discovery Live 2019 R3 version, you can see the minimum feature size that is being captured by hovering your mouse over the fidelity bar. (refer image below)
