By default the legend's range will always show the minimum (blue) and maximum (red) over the entire solution, which means that the legend's range may not match the maximum and minimum shown in the data panel for a particular step. This beta feature automatically adjusts the legend min max values with those shown in the results panel for a particular step.
Consider below example where there are 3 multi-step loads defined:
In below 2 images, it can be seen that legend's range will always show the min and max over the entire solution. The max values of legend don't change and match with the max values of 2nd load step.
By enabling the beta feature, the legend values are adjusted to match with the step that is being viewed. In below images, the max value of 2nd step matches with the legend values.
