You may like to refer to this application example for a snap fit example.
Generally, if there is an interference fit between the bodies, modeled with initial penetration, the simulation can be solved by resolving the interference using contact settings. "Pinball" and "Interface gap adjustment" plays a vital role here. For instance, i have attached an example wherein there is an initial penetration of 0.01m between wheel and axle. I used following contact settings to solve this for residual stresses.
