I apologise for the delayed response.

  1. To update the note you will need to right-click on it and click the "XXX" icon again. 
     
  2. You can change the line weight of the geometry from SpaceClaim Options as mentioned in my previous comment. Please ensure that under Display Tab> Show, you have 'Lineweights' checked. (refer image)
