Hello Peter Kelly (SC)

Please go through the below steps:

  1. Create the planes in a fresh file and save it as SpaceClaim Template File (.scdot)
     
  2. Go to File > SpaceClaim Options> Support Files and check 'Use template for new Designs' and browse to select the saved file. (refer image below)

     

This will enable you to open every new design with your customised template.
