  您好，我想您的大部分问题都可以参考我们官网的范例得到解答：Multimode interference (MMI) coupler，不同参数的影响您可以自己试试看自己改一改查看 CAD 视图里面的模型变化我想您应该就有答案了。
  如果您想要做一个新的模型，可以直接在这个范例的基础上更改，也可以自己新建一个，范例中模型写入脚本的目的是因为我们创建了一个structure group, 为了方便我们在使用范例模型时以一个更加直观便捷的方式在 user property 里面更改参数就可以实现 MMI 模型尺寸的更改，所以您自己新建模型的时候可以选择合适自己的方式，完全不用脚本自己手动创建也是可以的。
  Xmin 就是设定您的 EME 区域，范例里面设定的就是最小值您可以再确认一下，当然您扩大仿真区域也没有关系，只不过没有结构也就没什么必要了。
  Number of trial modes 只需要保证仿真收敛即可，通常我们设定一个较大的值，然后在做完 Mode convergence sweep 之后观察结果填入一个保证收敛的较小值就行了。
