SubscriberHello every body,I would like to find out the transferable torque between 2 rings that are at a distance of 0.001 mm(as lubricant) from each other. One is fixed and one rotates with 1500 rpm. I have set pinballs with radius .0015 mm in a frictional contact with 0.1 as friction factor. I also set a damping factor of 0.05 under "Adjust to Touch", with turned on "weak springs", but I am not sure, if these are correct. I could not also find out a specific transmitted torque.Could you please suggest a compatible set up?Thanks. -

Forum ModeratorHi,
Try using a transient analysis without weak springs and see if there is a moment reaction at the fixed end.
