2D Shell Mesh Perimeter Convert to Beams

  I have a 2D shell mesh that I wish to convert its perimeter to Beams and discard the (internal) shell elements. How can I accomplish this in LSPP.

  , you can try the following.
  Go to Element and Mesh -> Element Generation -> Beam -> Beam by: Edge. In the "Sel. Edges" window, check the "Prop" box and then select the edges of the shell mesh.
