For generating a mesh of three equal element size of a rectangular geometry having length 3 meter and breadth 1 meter, I used edge sizing twice for horizontal and vertical boundaries.Thereafter I went for face sizing with element size 1m but am unable to see any mesh on the rectangular face.Kindly advise.

Click on the Edge Sizing mesh control and look in the Details window. There is a row called Behavior. The default is Soft, which means the mesher takes the number of elements as a suggestion that it can ignore. Change the Behavior to Hard and the mesher will respect the Edge Sizing input.

Ansys EmployeeCan you please insert some zoomed in images for your controls.
Please make sure that you use no. of divisions in edge sizing. Please use same no. of divisions on opposite edges.
