3D fan zone

       Hello,

I am simulating ventilation in a room that contains several pumps. each pump is made out of a gearbox and a motor. The motor has internal cooling which is basically a fan that blows air on the motor surface. I am planning on modelling that using a 3d fan zone, everything in the domain is subtracted expect the fan zone. My problem is that when I go into fluent I cannot make the needed face as fan inlet because it is defined as a wall and I cannot change it to interior due to some error regarding it not having the same cell type as the adjacent cells. Do you know any way to fix that? or a way to make a face as interior?

      Thank you,

      Michael

It sounds like you either have not used share topology so have interface zones or one of the zones is a solid and not a fluid.
