SubscriberHi everyone,
I try to run a simulation on my university's PC using SST SIMPLE in Fluent 19.2. However, when I start the simulation nothing happens. I assume this is due to insufficient memory but when I start the same simulation in CFX it does run. On another machine at uni with Fluent 19.1 the simulation does run fine though. The machine has 8 cores but the rest of the specs are the same as for the other computer (32GB RAM, 3.4Ghz, 64 bit). Can someone explain to me why I can run the same mesh in CFX but not in Fluent please? Is this a version issue?
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Ansys EmployeeThose settings should run within 32GB RAM for Fluent. Can you check with a smaller model? Have you rebooted the machine that's struggling?

SubscriberYeah, I have restarted the machine and the issue is on all the machines in the computer room. Any idea of what it could be so I can point it out to our IT team? -

SubscriberYes, Amine. I load in the def file from CFX. You reckon this is the issue? If so why?

Ansys EmployeeMake a Grid Check After Loading the Definition file. Bear im mind that you Need to Setup thewhile case from scratch even if you are importing a def file -

Ansys EmployeeJust read a case from Fluent tutorials to check the installations but I assume its us rather related to the way you setup the case -

SubscriberHi, yes I do set up the case file from scratch. And it is running fine on the other computer, hence, I'm wondering why this happens. But yeah Im trying a fluent tutorial file and see if that works
