a clamped rectangular plate under uniform load

  Hello
  I want to use workbench modify a clamped rectangular plate under uniform load to compare with an exact solution for the deflection.
  When I use 2-D dimension with plane stress behavior, why can't such boundary conditions be used, and how to make corrections?

  Hi
  You need 3D analysis for this to calculate out of plane (DZ movement in Z) displacements.
  For reference, 2D analysis has only DX and DY degreeos of freedom and allows thus only X and Y movement.
