A notification button near the “my tools” on the top right of the website

  Hi admins,
  
  I have a suggestion for the website. A notification button for specific user will be better to have on the website. If you have seen websites like stackoverflow or github, there is a notification and a user button on the top of the website. I understand that the notifications are sent to the user by email, but when you are already online then it is hard to navigate back and forth email. This options will keep the user on this website and will give notifications. Other users for this notification can be admin/website related message.
  
  May be you guys are already working on it, I guess. I just thought I should post this.
