SubscriberHi experts,
In Mass Transfer from the Film - Wall Boundary Layer Model section, we know that the mass transfer coefficients are determined by the wall function.
I am just wondering what if I use the SST model? Since the SST model does not use the wall function, is the mass transfer coefficient still determined by the wall function?
In my opinion, to use the wall function, the y+ of the first layer of the mesh on the wall should be at least 30. In the SST case, the y+ should be around one. In this case, can the mass transfer coefficient which is determined by wall function be accurate enough?
Thanks in advance.

Ansys EmployeeStrictly the mass transfer coefficients are determined by the flow in the near wall region, that is then determined by the near wall treatment.
