SubscriberHello,
When I simulated some internal flow with various air temperatures, I couldn't select section average (Temrerature, velocity, etc.).
How do you do show optional section?

SubscriberHi Takahiro
The section average can be plotted by creating a plane and calculating mean value of any parameter (velocity or temperature) on this plane as shown below:
I tried to create a test case with multiple inlet temperatures and could plot the chart without any issue.
Please let me know if I am missing a point while trying to understanding your concern.
Thanks & Regards,
Gaurav

SubscriberGaurav_ANSYS Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I thought that I tried the approach you suggested. I will try that gain to see if it works for me and get back to you. I was also wondering if it is possible to use an arbitrary surface that I drew within the fluid domain instead of a plane. I appreciate if you could advise on this.

Currently, it is not supported to plot results on internal faces. Any attempt in doing so can lead to wrong results. hence, its best to avoid.
However, we will share your idea with the product development team.

Gaurav

I appreciate your comment. I voted for the suggested idea which is a must have feature because monitoring variables with a plane does not suffice in certain scenarios.
