SubscriberHi everyone,
I believe I was able to access Discovery Forum from Ukraine with no issue before. However, now the startpage (https://forum.ansys.com/) shows an error "We are sorry, but we are not able to offer online purchasing of Ansys Discovery products in your region.". I'm using VPN with US location to write this message. I believe the online shop and Discovery Forum must have separate country-based restrictions. It is Ok to ban users from buying online due to legal limitations, but it's not a good idea to restrict Forum access just because you happen to live in Ukraine or other unfortunate countries.
Regards,
Sergey

I'm consulting my team regarding this. Could you please confirm with your IT team to check if there are no firewall blocks on the Discovery Forum webpage?

I came to know that Ukraine has been blocked from the account system due to export restrictions. Can you tell when did you access the forum from Ukraine last time?

SubscriberNaresh Patre , 3 monthes ago when I created this thread Subashni told there were some issues with the server and that they have been repaired. I was indeed able to access the forum from Ukraine after his post. I understand that Ukraine is blocked from the account system, so that clients from Ukraine are not able to make direct purchases of Discovery products from Ansys store. However, I believe that Discovery forum must not be restricted for Ukrainian users, as we still allow Discovery to be legally used in Ukraine, both student and commercial products.

Ansys EmployeeHello Sergey Vakulenko
There might have been a glitch in the system due to which you were able to access the forum from Ukraine a month ago. This blocking is also applicable to forum access. I don't know about commercial, but the students products are allowed since their sole purpose is for academic use.

SubscriberHello Naresh Patre . I'm actually able to access the Forum with Ukrainian IP again. I don't think blocking the forum is a right thing to do. We are able to sell Discovery locally and thus I believe our clients should have an access to Discovery Forum without using VPN.
