SubscriberHello
I am trying to model an experiment, which has the following set-up:
two steel plates are close to each other but not in contact, there is a third very thin plate between them, which is in contact with both. The impact is a sound wave or an ultrasonic wave (0Hz-150000Hz). I use a mass source to model it in Workbench, however the dimention of it is not in Hz which is confusing me. It should be point impact directly to the upper steel plate. Is there any other impact type I can use for this purposes?
Because also, as you can see from the attached image, I do not get any result as velocity or any other non-acoustic characteristics.

Ansys EmployeeHi,
You can try using the wave propagation:

SubscriberThanks!
But that would be a solution in time domain.
Is there any way to get a solution in frequency domain?
