SubscriberHI,
I am working on a LAD coronary artery. i want to solve FSI modeling.
I have a thin lad artery that has been exported from Simvascular in stl format. i should add thickness to the wall at first and then mesh it in ICEM.
i added thickness to the wall in meshmixer at first then added caps in simvascular and imported it in icem. but there are lots of problem with the geometry that i imported in icem. for examples there are gaps between fluid domain and inner wall at inlet and outlets. or inlets split in lots of surface. Anybody know how i can add thickness to the wall in ansys or other programs

Ansys EmployeeFor complex shapes a very quick way can be to scale the surface & then create a solid between the two surfaces. Not the most precise approach but may avoid complications with extrude/pull etc.

SubscriberThanks for the quick reply.
Can you please explain more about how i can do it?
but i want that you know i need the wall thickness for solving structural part.

Ansys EmployeeIf you need a specific thickness you'll need to build it in CAD, or get scan data. As a CFD user I may not need to be as precise, depending on what I want the solid for.
