adding a temporary license file appears successful but FlexNet licenses are never updated

  We are running the ANSYS License Manager Release 18.2 on Windows Server 2012R2 and attempting to add a temporary license to our existing expired license. We go through the process to "Add a License File" which appears successful but after restarting the license service the new license is never reflected. We have rebooted the server and attempted to add the temporary license several times without success.
  
  We are hoping to get some guidance on this issue.

  Those expired licenses can cause this issue. Please wipe everything then reinstall only valid licenses. You can remove the currently installed license files (all that end with .lic ) under (default location) C:Program FilesANSYS IncShared FilesLicensinglicense_files

  "Lease expiring 30-Nov-2018 Customer #"
