The connectivity option between AIM and Workbench is not available with a subscription license, as the Workbench does not currently support a mixed licensing model (subscription for Discovery and floating for Workbench). I would request you to post your suggestion in the Ideas section so that other users can view and vote for it.

SubscriberHi Naresh Patre Here attaches the video from ANSYS R19 Update that made me try the connectivity. The connectivity function showed in the video started from 1:20. And then, I think it could work due to the licenses showed in the video is a subscription for AIM and the other one is floating for Mechanical ( I guessed that because R19 released the only subscription for Discovery AIM). Thank you.

This workflow is only possible if you have a Mechanical Enterprise license (which also enables Discovery AIM), or a lower level Mechanical license and an AIM Pro License.

SubscriberHi Naresh Patre
Let me check and know better.
It will work in these conditions below:
1). a Mechanical Enterprise License
2). a Mechanical Enterprise License + ANSYS Discovery AIM License
3). a Mechanical Premium License + ANSYS Discovery AIM License or AIM Pro License
Are those described above correct?
On the other hand, I'd like to know if it will work in the condition:
a Mechanical Pro License + ANSYS Discovery AIM or AIM Pro License?
Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeHello Kin
A Mechanical Pro license plus an AIM Pro license will support this connectivity; and a Mechanical Pro license plus a Discovery Ultimate Enterprise will support this connectivity. As long as both the Mechanical and the AIM licenses are floating licenses the connection will be available.

SubscriberHi Naresh Patre
Is this function of connectivity feasible for subscription licenses as well?
Thank you.
