Analysed Initial Temperature Higher than Inputted Initial Temperature

  I’m running a transient thermal simulation on ANSYS mechanical. My problem is thus follows:
  
  I set the initial temperature conditions of a couple of (solid geometry) named groups to -253.15degC using:
  
  Commands (APDL) à
  
  IC, [NAMED GROUP],Temp,-253.15
  
  But when I run my simulation there are elements within these named groups which begin at temperatures lower than the value which I put in (-331.51degC to be exact). What am I doing to cause this and how can it be prevented?
