Ansys EmployeeHello dallagnol9 ,
If you don't see modules in the toolbox of analysis systems , it means the software doesn't see the license.
check this
open up CMD Prompt, then issue the following command (this is for default installation path, if you've installed it in a non-default path, you have to change the path accordingly)
"C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS StudentShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_util" -checkout aa_t_i
If your licensing is fine, you should see the output like
"..... INFO Demo license file C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS StudentShared FilesLicensingstudent.lic exists.
aa_t_i OUT ....."
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHello dallagnol9 ,
This means your licensing is ok.
Have you tried Paul's suggestion in this thread https://forum.ansys.com/forums/topic/not-seeing-any-items-in-the-ansys-workbench-toolbox/ ?
If that doesn't help,
do you have any other ANSYS version installed (e.g., 18.x, 19.x, student, commercial, academic) ?
Try resetting configuration, by renaming folder v191 in this directory
%AppData%Ansys (please copy and paste this in the Windows Explorer address bar)
to anything else (e.g., v191.old)
If that doesn't help,
open CMD Prompt and issue this command
set
Then capture the screenshot of the entire output and show it here in the post.
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9.
In the CMD Prompt, could you issue the command 'set' without the quote '' , then press enter. This would show us the environment variables being set on your machine. Please send the screenshot of the output.

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9.
Thank you for the screenshot.
The ANSYS related environment variables for 190 are pointing to v18.2 paths for some reason. Not sure if this is the cause of the issue for your v19.1 student version but we can try this
Open CMD Prompt, then copy and paste the following commands (all in the same CMD Prompt window)
set ANSYS190_DIR=
set AWP_ROOT190=
move %appdata%ansysv182 %appdata%ansysv182.back
move %appdata%ansysv190 %appdata%ansysv190.back
move %appdata%ansysv191 %appdata%ansysv191.back
"C:Program FilesANSYS Incansys studentv191FrameworkbinWin64runwb2.exe"
Do you still see blank analysis system in Workbench ?
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeCan you configure the products one again. Just go the installation directory and you will find productconfig.exe unconfigure all and then configure the products. Do you see any error log files in the common folder under Ansys Inc?

Ansys EmployeeHi dallangnol9,
If you could, please open windows file explorer and paste the following into the address/path bar at the top:
%TEMP%
Now look for a directory called "WorkbenchLogs"
Edit each of those files, and see if there are any errors mentioned. If so, please copy and paste the contents of the file here.
Next paste the following into the windows file explorer address/path bar:
%AWP_ROOT191%commonfilesregistrywinx64
Take a screenshot of the files and directories listed there, and paste into the post.
Lastly, go into the "append" directory, and do the same there. (Screenshot/Post)
Thank you,
Jake

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9.
Do you have any user access control set ? Can you try turning it off just for a test ?
What if you run Workbench with 'run as admin' ?
Thank you,

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9.
What about this
open elevated CMD Prompt (right click on CMD and 'run as administrator')
then issue the following commands
"C:Program FilesANSYS Incansys studentv191ProductConfig.exe" -silent -prereqs
Wait a few minutes (or you can open up Windows Task Manager and make sure that the process 'productconfig.exe' has stopped running)
"C:Program FilesANSYS Incansys studentv191ProductConfig.exe" -silent -unconfig
Wait a few minutes (or you can open up Windows Task Manager and make sure that the process 'productconfig.exe' has stopped running)
"C:Program FilesANSYS Incansys studentv191ProductConfig.exe" -silent -config
Wait a few minutes (or you can open up Windows Task Manager and make sure that the process 'productconfig.exe' has stopped running)
then try Workbench again.
Thank you,

SubscriberHello tsiriaks,
Before running the first command in the prompt, I took a look at the task manager, but "productconfig.exe" is not running. So when I running the third command in the prompt, the 'productconfig.exe' started running in the task manager.
After the procedure, I tryed the Workbench but isen't show me the analyse sistem yet..
Is a good idea uninstall and reinstall the program, or a old version?

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9 ,
Yes, I think we should try to reinstall now. I don't have any other thoughts on this.
Make sure to run Uninstall.exe under C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Studentv191 with 'run as administrator'
Once this is done, manually delete the C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Student folder
Then, reinstall the products (you can use the same version v19.1) : Run setup.exe with 'run as administrator'
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9 ,
You can neglect that message. The ANSYS License Manager is the tool used for hosting ANSYS licenses.
Since yours is a free student version, it already comes with its own license. No need to setup (install) ANSYS License Manager.
So, I believe you have reinstalled it. Do you still see blank analysis system ?
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9 ,
Sorry. That's all I can think of at this time. Let's see if others have some thoughts on this.
In the meantime, you can try uninstalling every ANSYS related products/versions, then reinstall only the ANSYS Student version 19.1.
If the issue persists, please resend us the output of the 'set' command in the CMD Prompt.
Thank you,

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9 ,
Can you try this again
open up CMD Prompt, then issue the following command
"C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS StudentShared FilesLicensingwinx64ansysli_util" -checkout ANS_SOLVER
Do you see "ANS_SOLVER OUT..... feature=aa_t_i ....... " ?
reissue this command again
move %appdata%ansysv191 %appdata%ansysv191.back
If that still doesn't help, can you check your installation package size (right click > Properties) ?
Do you see any install.err or install_licconfig.err under C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Student ?
Thank you,

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9 ,
The licensing is good.
The installation seems to be fine as well but somehow the software can't read certain information from the installed location (those .xml under
common filesregistrywinx64 ) . The error that you see means it can't find those modules.
Can you go to C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Student , right-click on the 'v191' folder -> Properties , then send the screenshot of it ?
Also, from the ANSYS Student v19.1 installation package, please right-click on the 'ANSYSACADEMICSTUDENT_191_WINX64' (unzipped) folder -> Properties, and send this screenshot.
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi dallagnol9,
You are using the AIMANSYSACADEMICSTUDENT_191_WINX64 ?
Can you use the ANSYSACADEMICSTUDENT_191_WINX64 ?
Try uninstall everything again. Then, this time use the ANSYS Student package. Do not use the ANSYS AIM Student.
The ANSYS Student package is the third (right-most) package on this page https://www.ansys.com/academic/free-student-products
Once you download the file, the file name should be ANSYSACADEMICSTUDENT_191_WINX64 not AIMANSYSACADEMICSTUDENT_191_WINX64.
Let me know how it goes once you try the ANSYS Student package.
Thank you,
