ANSYS 19.2 R2 FLUENT opens and hangs and sometimes doesnt open at all

      While using workbench in Fluid Flow(fluent) , Fluent doesn't open or hangs upon opening

      This seems to be stuck while it's trying to launch MPI processes.

      i tried those methods, but they didnt work i keep getting this message at the end

      What if you open CMD Prompt, then use the following command


      "%awp_root194%fluentntbinwin64fluent.exe" -r19.4.0 3d -t0

      It opens fluent, but when i try to import a .msh file it gives the following error


       


      Reading "| utility fl42seg CUsers/Ryan Pereira/Desktop/nh.msh"...

      This command


      "%awp_root194%fluentntbinwin64fluent.exe" -r19.4.0 3d -t0


      is equivalent to you setting


      Processing Options : Parallel


      Processes : 0


      in the Fluent Launcher, which I stated in the thread above. The issue that prevents you from using multiple cores (MPI) is as described in that thread as well. You have to find on your machine what is blocking those processes , e.g., anti-virus , Firewall, VPN, etc.


      The issue about importing mesh is a different one. It's best to get help about this issue from Physics Simulation  ->  Fluid Dynamics  section.
