ANSYS 2022 R1 Mechanical running very slowly and freezing

  Hello,
  When I run Ansys Mechanical (student version) it freezes anytime I click on any option and is very slow to solve. I know it should take a few seconds to solve simple geometries but for me it takes several minutes. Even switching between items in the outline tree, it takes several minutes to switch. Does anyone know why it could be doing this? Also, the design modeler works fine if that matters
