  Hello, I'm struggling to install the ANSYS 2023 R1 student version and keep getting an error. Would really appreciate some assistance in resolving this issue

  You should try searching Google with the phrase
  install ms asp.net hosting bundle 6.0.8
  and you will find the solution.

  You can try to reinstall the prerequisite, but if you continue receiving the same message and are not experiencing problems when running the ANSYS 2023 R1 products; the problem is just during installation, these errors can probably be safely ignored. The .Net 6.x was just released in early November and it's possible the detection logic we have in the installer is not expecting this more recent version of Ansys.

  Solved the issue by Enable IIS on windows & updating from .net 6.0.8 to dotnet-hosting-6.0.16-win
  
  ANSYS_2023_R1_student version working now 😎
