SubscriberHello, I am trying to configure a multi-node linux cluster with infiniband to run fluent simulations by using ARC with RSM. When defining execution nodes in the arcconfigui program, how can I define the cluster to run over Infiniband instead of ethernet when solving jobs?
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHello, it shold be possible to configure Name Resolution such that the copute nodes will use the preferred interface. Please as yor network sstem admiinstrator for help with this.
If still running into isses, yo can set the MPI NETMASK variable coresponding to the MPI being used.

SubscriberHello, thank you for your response. In this case, I am the network system admin. I know that I can specify to use IPOIB through name resolution, but to use RDMA I would assume I would need to actually specify the Infiniband HCA and not just IPOIB. Will RSM be able to auto detect if RDMA is available through each node by specifying the MPI NETMASK variable?

Ansys EmployeeHello, I believe it will be upto the solver. have you tried runnign already ? It would be helpful to know any specific error messages or scenarios such as observed performance parameters. We can then review settings if needed
