SubscriberHi,
I have installed ANSYS student 19.1 and could not found the way where and how to launch ANSYS Chemkin-Pro. I believe it is included with the student package but I just somehow don't know how to launch that. I could only see very few options in start menu as displayed in picture attached.
Help will be appreciated.
Thanks

Ansys EmployeeHi usamasain,
Sometimes Windows doesn't show all shortcuts created. You can check if this is the case by right-click on one of these shortcuts -> Open File Location . This should take you to a path like C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsANSYS 19.1
Look inside this folder and see if you have any Chemkin shortcut there.
Thank you,
Win

SubscriberHi tsiriaks,
Thanks for your response. I looked in there but could only found 3 shortcuts;
- Mechanical APDL 19.1,
- Mechanical APDL Product Launcher 19 and
- Workbench 19.1.
Still don't know what went wrong somewhere.

Ansys EmployeeHi usamasain,
If it's really not there, I would suggest a clean reinstall.
Go to (default location) C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Studentv191
and right click 'Uninstall.exe' , then 'run as administrator'
Once done, delete or rename the entire C:Program FilesANSYS IncANSYS Student folder
Then reinstall the products again.
Also, just to make sure, from your installation package (unzipped one) , please right-click -> Properties , then send me the screenshot of it
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi usamasain,
Please keep us posted on your progress here. Both Chemkin and Forte should be present in your R19.1 ANSYS Student product installation.

Ansys EmployeeAlso note that our Chemkin Online help here states:
"To start ANSYS Chemkin-Pro, go to the Start menu and select ANSYS 19.2 > Chemkin > Chemkin 19.2."
For R19.1 it's the same, just change the path to 19.1.

SubscriberHi everyone,
This time I reinstalled but neither did run the license manager nor restarted my laptop and I was able to have Chemkin Pro and lot more options not available last time.
Attached are the screenshots of options. I don't know if it'll change after I shutdown or restart.
Anyhow thanks both of you for help so far.

Ansys EmployeeHi Abdullah,
That's great ! Thanks for the update.
For ANSYS Student version, please don't install ANSYS License Manager.
Also, if you reboot then comeback and see some of these shortcuts disappear, this time you can definitely follow my suggestion on the first post to get to those hidden shortcuts.
Thank you,
Win
