SubscriberHi Support,
Would Ansys Discovery run on hyper treads instead on physical cores? In the past I have a few issues and first thing which Ansys has support suggested was to switch off hyper treading in BIOS.
I'm looking at a new laptop
E.g. This laptop below has 8 cores and 16 hyper threads. And I have 12 core HPC licence extension will I be able to fully utilise the 12 core HPC ?

Ansys EmployeeHello Tim Dukes
Ansys solvers only use physical cores. So it will use a maximum of 8 cores that your laptop has.
