I am working on a 2d axisymmetric tubular packed-bed reactor model, and the flow is oriented along the x+ direction. To model the catalyst network inside the model, I decided to use the porous zone function instead of modeling the solid phase explicitly. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what Direction-1 in the porous zone mean exactly. Could you please give me examples?

Direction -1 is X Direction-2 is Y . Each direction has Viscose resistance unless it is an isotropic material, in that case, all directions will have the same value.
