      Fixing Lumerical CAD/GUI related issues. n1) First try to remove/delete your Lumerical product preference.ini files. See this post for details. n2) If the issue persists, proceed below;nWindows: nUpdate the graphics device driversnDownload and install the latest device drivers from the manufacturer?s website.nDo Not update from the device manager for this process.nAfter updating the device drivers, we can continue further by disabling the vertical synchronization feature and hardware acceleration from the graphics device's bundled application. nLinux: nTest OpenGL with the following,nglxgearsnA new windows should open showing 3 colored revolving gears.nglxinfo > glx.txtnThe glx.txt file will be use to troubleshoot any issues.nUpdate your Linux system.nsudo yum updatenTry to run with the '-noaccel' suffix;ncd /opt/lumerical/v211/bin/n./fdtd-solutions-noaccel &n./mode-solutions-noaccel &n./device-noaccel &nNote: The ?-noaccel? option might not work with certain Linux installations and should revert back to using the default options after updating your graphics device drivers.n
