My Customer has SpaceClaim R2 (PU + TECS). He can open SpaceClaim using shortcut on the descktop without any problems. He can design and save his job. But when he try to open file with doubleclick on it (*.scdoc) he gets every time: Failover feature 'Ansys SpaceClaim Direct Modeler' is not available. No valid FLEXLM servers specified. What can be wrong with his license? Slawomir

Hi Slawomir This is a known issue that we have came across and a bug ticket has been filed ( 367451 ) for that. I will check with the developers for the update on this and will let you know soon. Please go through this post double click on .scdoc 2020R2 - Questions - Ansys Discovery Forum and see if it solves the issue. Regards.

      Hi Slawomir

The registry key value should be set to the following:

      "C:Program FilesANSYS Incv195scdmspaceclaim.exe" "%1" "/USERUNNINGSPACECLAIM=true" /UseLicenseMode=true

/UseLicenseMode=true is necessary to make Discovery SpaceClaim look for the subscription license.  Without that set it will look for a floating license, which is why they get the error in the image you submitted.

Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

      Hi Slawomir

Please can you send the SpaceClaim log from '%APPDATA%SpaceClaimLog files' and the Ansys license log from %TMP%.ansys of the customer on ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com.
