Ansys Licensing Error

      Hi Ansys Team, 

       

      One of our users is having difficulty opening the program. They are getting the error message:  "There are no current Ansys subscriptions that enable capability Discovery - Level 1"

       

      I am able to ping the server and have tried to activate the license per CMD but get the message: "All entitlements have been activated"

       

      Also when I run the curl.exe command I get the message HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden. Could this be the cause of the issue.

      Hello Luis Garcia

      The message: "All entitlements have been activated" indicates that the Named User (subscription) license is already activated on 2 devices, so it cannot be activated on any other device. Can you try deactivating the subscription licenses and then activate again?

      If it is still failing, please send the following to ansys-discovery-support@ansys.com:

      1. email address of the user

      2. customer if of the user's account

      3. Go to %temp% folder, zip ".ansys" folder and send it.

      Hi Naresh  

       

      Thank you for your quick response. We tried that above steps and it worked.

      We noticed however that in order to activate the license via CMD we needed to join a personal hotspot as opposed to using our work Internet. This leads us to think that we may need to check if the firewall settings are blocking any communication. 

      Do you have a list of ports that need to be opened in order for the program to function?
