      Hello
I am a doctoral student, I have just installed the Ansys 2022 R1 software on my PC, and connected remotely to my university's license server (through an university VPN ). the license server is indeed valid on the "client settings utility" side ( image 1 below), however when I try to open the software it returns an error message ( image 2 below).

Can you help me to solve this problem please?

Thanks in advance for your feedback

Under %TEMP%\.ansys you will see license debug log files.
Can you check these files and post any errors you see?

I also have a problem with the license. In my case we have the license stored on a university server, and until now the Ansys 2019 version worked fine for us, but now we have updated to the Ansys 2022 R1 version and when we open it we get the error message that I attached in the image.
How can we solve this error?
Do we have to change the server software for this new version?

Make sure that you have ANSYS 2022 R1 License Manager installed on the License Server and that the license file is also valid for ANSYS 2022 R1.
Once this is completed, you should be running ANSYS 2022 R1 and previous versions.

I think we have the Ansys 2021 R2 version license manager installed.
Where can I get the license manager for version 2022 R1?

You or someone at your University should have access to the Ansys Customer Portal .
Go to Downloads - Current Release - select the ANSYS 2022 R1 version and OS, scroll down to TOOLS and select the ANSYS License Manager package.

I have tried what you told me, but it still doesn't work.
What other problem could there be?

      Try the following:
      On the License Server:
Edit the ansyslmd.lic file, located under:
      c:\program files\Ansys Inc\shared files\licensing\license_files
      or linux: /ansys_inc/shared_files/licensing/license_files
Edit the Vendor line to look as follows:
      VENDOR ansyslmd PORT-1056
      save the file.
Verify Firewall exceptions for Ports 1055, 1056, 2325
      Start License Manager
Try to run on client machine.

Hi, I've tried this too but it still doesn't work, I've tried version 2022R1 and version 2021R2 and neither works.
In version 2022R1 the error of the previous images continues to appear.
And the 2021R2 version takes a long time to load and does not load almost any module of the workbench.
What other problem could there be?

      Just as a test...
Can you try with All firewalls shut down..on the client machine and the License Server...
