SubscriberDear ANSYS users.
I am trying to resolve the following physical problem. using ansys 2021 r1.
Electromagnet that has a coil of 165 turns and 0.0031H and powered by 25 A (AC/DC pending on need) that attract and release a plate standing parallel to it as show in the following picture.
I tried to use ANSYS magneto-static to represent the flux density and the force so I made the following structure
Running ANSYS magneto-static result in fail due to the following error, despite of trying all the suggested solution yet I am still facing the same issue.
I tried to switch to ansys maxwell but I could not run it as I had teh following error and for the same case I used all the suggested solution about the licence and nothing worked.
Please advice

Ansys EmployeeHello Mohammed, In your last image, you are opening Maxwell from Workbench platform. I would suggest to open Maxwell standalone. To do this, please go to Windows icon and select Ansys EM Suite. Please also check that you have installed the last release of the Ansys License Manager (available in the Ansys Customer Portal), in this case 2023R1. If the Ansys License Manager is working correctly, then please uninstall Ansys EM Suite and install it again. When you do the installation, please pay attention in the step where you point to the license. I hope this helps you. Ivonne

SubscriberThanks @Ivonne - I launched ANSYS maxwell both from workbench and standalone, and I have the same issue. I merged ansys Electronics with workbench to be able to perform magneto structural coupled simulation. so this why I thought that magnetostatic module will help me instead and it did not work too.
I used ANSYS ELECTRONICS 2021 R1 as my workbench is ANSYS 2021 R1.
I will try to use ansys 2023 instead as suggested and keep you informed.
