  Why doesnt the speed graph start from zero ?

  Hello, the speed graph does not start from zero because on Mechanical Tab inside MotionSetup the Angular Velocity is set to be the value you see on rpm. In your case the Band of your rotating part will rotate with the adjusted Angular Velocity.
