SubscriberHello,
I have run into an issue when trying to use Ansys Motor CAD to obtain some results (torque) for an Electric Motor.I have input all parameters for my electric motor however when I click 'solve E-magnetic Model' under the Calculation tab, it gives me an error on the Message Display saying 'Unable to run FE module'. Below is an immage of the error. Can I get some assistance on this please?

SubscriberHello Shiyan,
Sorry to see the problems you have encountered.
There are various reasons for causing this issue, but the most common reason is the model geometry error, for example, region intersections. My recommendation is to check your geometry model by clicking the 'Check' button, and the detail information will be shown in the 'message display' window.
A tip here is that to avoid such geometry errors that may not be easily observed, I would suggest using the 'Ratios' method to do the geometry parametrization that will help to creat the model more conveniently.
Thanks
Best regards

SubscriberHello Shiyan,
Thanks for sharing the model with me.
I have run your model in my computer and it could be solved correctly, so the model you have built is good. Then the error message you have found may due to other issues and there are some actions you could take to further check it:
- Run the default model to check if you will have the same error message, also check if the thermal or mechanical module also has the same issue.
- Run Motor-CAD as administrator and check if it helps.
- Check if your Motor-CAD is installed in the default directory, if it isn't, try re-installing it there. The default path is C:\ANSYS_Motor-CAD\...
Sorry again for the issues you have faced and please take these actions to check. I hope it will help to solve this for you.
Thanks
Best regards
