SubscriberWhen simulating the 6DOF rotation of a turbine i get 2 errors: one stating there is reverse flow at the pressure outlet and the other which is weird stating: unable to write motion history file.
i was told the 1st is not a problem for my simulation but the 2nd i do not understand. Are they related?

Forum ModeratorReverse flow is a warning, not an error and just means you have some flow coming in through the outlet. Assuming the outlet is sufficiently far from the area of interest it's not a problem.
Why are you using 6DOF for a turbine? Reference frame or sliding mesh should be sufficient.

Subscriberthe objective of the project is to let the flow turn the turbine so i need to use 6DOF. So it does not block the solution from converging? Problem is that the simulation takes too long to finish and check for issues so its better to fix them at the start.

Forum ModeratorNo reason to not take the force on the blades and feed that into the moving reference frame speed via either a UDF or expression.
Reverse flow may not help convergence but shouldn't stop the model converging. However, given the domain size I'm not sure why you're getting it.
