I have a license problem using Ansys 19.2 with the ANSYS Academic Research Mechanical and CFD license.
I want to create a response surface optimization in Ansys Workbench for a Fluent simulation. The DOE setup and creation works well, but as soon as the simulation would start, I get the information that no license is free.
When adding the design points manually from the DOE tool to the parameter tool I can start the simulation normally.
Is it normal that I need an extra license for the response surface?
Or are there any option to check out the license from the response surface tool after creating the DOE and before the simulations in the parameter tool starts?

Please post the screenshot of the error message.
Also, go to here (assuming Windows) C:Users
then look in all of the files with the name licdebug
and search for the entry that says 'denied' , then post a couple of screenshots around this entry.

I already got a message from our Ansys support. They said that copying the design points from the DesignXplorer would be the workaround. Since the DesignXplorer and the simulation both need a license.
