#### Any simple identical example for harmonic response and transient analysis?

Just want to perform in ANSYS, how the harmonic response takes lesser Computational time than the transient analysis.n I need simple example.nThanks!n

Both the videos are different. nLoading (Sinusoidal load) applied in Harmonic response is different from transient analysis. nI am looking for same loading condition (i.e. Sinusoidal load) for harmonic and transient analysis. And want to understand computational time taken for both the analysis.n

nA Harmonic Analysis computes the response of a structure in a frequency-domain ( frequency dependent sinusoidal load history), while a transient Analysis computes the response of a structure to in a time-domain ( time-dependent load history which need not be sinusoidal). Given this distinction, it is not possible to apply the same loading for both. However, what you could do is apply a sinusoidal force of a given frequency at the tip of the cantilever beam, plot the response for a large time until it reaches a steady state (this would require a transient response analysis), and then compare this steady-state deflection amplitude with the frequency response plot of a harmonic analysis at the same frequency coordinate.
