SubscriberHi all,
I have generated a 3d mesh in APDL by rotating a meshed cross-section in APDL. The issue is the generated volume does not have a volume number. Also, when I select a face in the new volume and try to select the elements associated with the area APDL does to give any elements selected.
I want to know how can I keep the associativity with the new 3d mesh and 3d volume?
Thanks.
Best regards,
Rashiga

SubscriberCan you explain more. You say you have a mesh by rotating a 2D mesh? To generate a 2D mesh one meshes an AREA (AMESH), not a volume. So where does the volume come in - explain the steps you take and what you get and what is missing.

Subscriberjj77,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I used "AMESH" to mesh the 2d surface and used "VROTAT" to mesh rotate the 2d mesh into a 3d mesh. But when I use "VPLOT" I can see a volume.
