Applying load to the SRM motor in simplorer

      Hi

Have anyone tried applying load to the motor in Simplorer. I have first tried with required speed and ran the simulation, the motor developed the required torque. But when I give the opposite ie., required torque for the motor, the motor is not able to develop the required torque, it develops almost zero torque and runs at high speed than the actual one. So kindly let me know if there is any particular way to apply load to the motor. Thank you.

      Hello Satyakar,

To simulate SR motor with load in Simplorer, we have to use speed control and current control with position sensors. There are two speed control examples in C:\Program Files\AnsysEM\v231\Win64\Examples\Twin Builder\Applications\PowerSystem. One is IM_SpeedControl.aedt and another is PMSM_SpeedControl_EMI.aedt.

Another easy way is to use RMxprt to generate external circuit with Maxwell model and we can enter the load in Motion when using "Consider Mechanical Transient" in Mecahincal Tab. Thanks.
