Ansys EmployeeHi AlexL ,
I'm assuming you have tried opening those two files directly and they are open fine.
Have you used any other ANSYS software/tools (e.g., Mechanical-Static Structural, Fluent, CFX) ? If so, do you experience any issue ?
Do you have any install.err under C:Program FilesANSYS Student ?
When you installed the software, did you do the "run as administrator" ?
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi AlexL,
Thank you for the info. Windows 10 x 64 is fine. But now I'm worried about the localization issue. We have seen a lot of issues with the localization. Can you try setting the default language of your computer to be English ?

Thank you,

Ansys EmployeeHi AlexL,
We don't have 32-bit version of Ansys 18.2. I think it's been retired may be more than 6 years now, since all (or almost all) OS are now running 64-bit.
Can you post the screenshot of the output of 'set' command (without quote ' ') from the CMD Prompt ?
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeCan you try reordering your Path environment variable so that the
C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSSystem32Wbem
are in front of any other paths ? See this instructions if you need help modifying the environment variable
https://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml
Make sure you make a copy of the original order in case something is messed up while you are changing the order.
Thanks,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi AlexL,
I think you set it correctly.
Can you leave this setting like this, then change your default language back to English and reboot the machine. After that, open up CMD Prompt , then issue the following command (copy and paste the entire line)
move %appdata%ansys %appdata%ansys.back
Now try using AutoDyn again.
Thank you,
Win

Ansys EmployeeHi AlexL,
Don't run that command under admin CMD Prompt. Run with a regular (user) CMD Prompt.
Thanks,
Win
