SubscriberHey, I am getting an error while running the transient analysis. The error is as shown in the image. Initially I didnt got such error. But the solution I got was unconverged, probably due to bad meshing. So I simplified the geometry by simplifying the CADS and by combining to or more CADs.

SubscriberIn Workbench, drag and drop a Modal analysis onto the Model cell of this Transient Structural analysis. In Mechanical, drag all supports from the Transient analysis and drop them on the Modal analysis. Solve the Modal analysis. Look at the first 6 mode shape displacements. Look for a part that is not connected.

SubscriberBut that is not the results that I want. I am not getting you? Why do I have to use Modal analysis in this case?

SubscriberNow I did some changes in mesh so I have only got the displacement till now. But I haven't got the stress results. The solution is also unconverged. Also the displacement is kinda wierd.

SubscriberYou showed an error that an internal solution magnitude limit was exceeded. That means something is not connected in your model. You have to fix that. Do you know what is not connected? If not, a Modal analysis will show you what is not connected because that component will float freely in the Modal solution.

SubscriberDo you mean the two parts in the top half of this image?
I assume these two cylinders are supposed to be concentric and slide along their common axis.
Delete the contact and under the Connections folder Insert > Joint > Cylindrical.
Do you have a spring-damper defined along this axis?

Subscriberyes, I have defined the damper and spring.
